Alex leaps like a salmon above Sea View

On a cold crisp Autumn night, Lord Blyton played at Mortimer Community College against a strong Sea View side. Lord Blyton were too much for Sea View to take away any points tonight as Lord Blyton stormed to an excellent 3-1 win.

Lord Blyton dominated throughout the first half where Sea View relied on their keeper to keep it 1-0 at half time.

Lord Blyton took the lead through a superb headed goal as Alex O’Donovan leapt like a salmon to powerfully head home the only goal of the first half, the Sea View keeper was on top form keeping out shots by Mitchell Smith and Matthew Moran. He couldn’t do anything but watch Carter Winter’s effort smash off the crossbar.

The second half began as the first ended with Lord Blyton on top and with Sea View thanking their goalkeeper for making some superb saves, but he was unable to keep out Carter Winter’s long range shot which flew into the bottom corner.

Sea View reduced the scoreline as their number 9 followed in on the rebound to make the scoreline 2-1.

Lord Blyton continued to pile on the pressure and got their reward as Mitchell Smith fire home to make it 3-1.

It was an impressive performance by all of the Lord Blyton squad. Lord Blyton dominated from the first to last minute and deserved the win.
