In reception, we have been exploring Bluebots – small, programmable, Bluetooth robots. At first we had to use the arrow key pad on top of the bots to control what direction they moved. We talked about positional language and how many moves we needed to make. We then made shapes on the carpet to see if we could program the bots to follow the shape.
We then challenged ourselves to program the bots using an app on an iPad. This meant we had to use algorithms to tell the bots which directions to move. We encountered a few challenges on the way but used our decoding skills to overcome them. It was a lot of fun!
