Year 6 have been working alongside the library service to do work commemorating the 100 years since WWI ended. This is a four week project which we are now half-way through. So far, we have used primary sources to study how South Shields has changed since that time and today we got a visit from local author Tony Wilson who was in role as a soldier. We interviewed him using questions we had written for homework and it gave us a real insight into what life was like for the soldiers fighting in the trenches. We will keep you updated with how our project develops!
