Halloween Fun in Reception

We had lots of fun in Reception for Halloween and all the children looked fabulous in their Halloween costumes. We have been reading Room on the Broom and Funny Bones, making and writing our own potions and writing about our costumes in Literacy. In maths we have been counting out spooky ingredients and matching them to the correct number. In free flow, we have been designing pumpkins, practising our fine motor skills by hammering tees into pumpkins and using the tweezers on the funky fingers table to pick up spiders. We also had lots of fun outside mixing coloured potions. We made Halloween biscuits with spooky faces and got to eat them before home time while watching Room on the Broom.
