World Mental Health Day in Year 6

In year 6 for Mental Health Day we had some excellent dialogue around what mental health actually is, using Power Points to focus our discussions. We talked at length about ways to ensure we keep our minds healthy and strategies we can use if ever we don’t feel as positive. I was very proud of how mature the children were and the sensitivity they showed around this topic. We took part in some quiet reading as part of the Take 10 challenge, spent some time doing mindful colouring with our ‘chillout’ music playing in the background and ended the day with some yoga in the glorious sunshine!
