Year 1 Trip to St Simons

Today year 1 visited St Simon’s church to find out what they could learn about Christianity.

They saw lots of crosses in church because Jesus died on a cross and lots of candles because they are lit to show God’s love. The children asked the Reverend some great questions.

“Why did Jesus die on the cross?”        “It was part of his mission to save the world.”

“Why are there stained glass windows?”        “People couldn’t read 150 years ago so the windows told a story.”

We had a great time. Thank you St. Simon’s.
