Aimee

As many of you will by now be aware, one of our former pupils, Aimee Wood, tragically passed away just before Christmas. This news came as a huge shock to the staff who taught or worked alongside Aimee during her time here at Lord Blyton. Aimee was truly the epitome of a model pupil and was a shining example to others. She always tried her very best academically, achieving well throughout her time here. We remember her as an avid reader who always took part in the summer reading challenges and who loved to involve herself in anything crafty-she was a force to be reckoned with when it came to the Easter egg decorating competitions! But more importantly, she is remembered for her gentle nature and the compassion she always showed towards others. She left Lord Blyton being presented with the ‘Little Miss Helpful’ award from her teachers but this is just one of the many positive qualities that could have been used to describe her. We know that as she progressed through secondary school and more recently sixth form, her shyness was being replaced by a newfound confidence and she had aspirations to help others by pursuing a career in law or teaching. We are certain that whichever path she had chosen, she would have made a huge difference to the lives of those she worked with. She will be fondly remembered and we pass on our love and strength to Aimee’s mam and family who we are keeping in our thoughts and prayers at this incredibly difficult time.
