Colouring Club – Acorn and Sycamore Class

This half term acorn & sycamore class are attending the colouring club at lunchtime. We listened to some Disney piano music which made us all feel relaxed.☺

Reception visited the Rising Sun Country Park to meet a very special person ... SANTA!We sat around the fire talking to Santa and listened to a festive story.We then enjoyed some warm juice before finding all of Santa's reindeer in the garden.Finally we made some festive crafts including Christmas tree decorations and reindeer food ready for Christmas Eve.It was a magical morning to remember! 🎄🎁🧑‍🎄 ... As part of National Nursery Rhyme Week the children have been singing the song 'Hickory Dickory Dock' which they have enjoyed lots after seeing a little mouse in Forest School a few weeks ago. We learnt the makaton sign for mouse and clock before visiting Forest school to look for clocks. Some of the children were able to recognise some of the numbers on the clock and could say which number the little hand was pointing to. Next we made our own little Hickory Dickory Dock mice adding big soft ears and a long tail.
