Today year 6 helped to make a vegetable curry and flat breads from scratch! They learned about personal hygiene, the properties of different vegetables and how to best chop them, along with many health and safety aspects. They all had a go at doing some of the practical work as well as observing the head chef (Mrs Collins) in action. Once cooked, the meal was enjoyed around the table and everybody gave it a try, with some even wanting seconds and thirds. It was lovely to be joined by two of our KS2 Base boys whose behaviour and manners were as impeccable as those of the mainstream class.
