Last week our County netball finalists took to the court at the Beacon of light in an effort to become County Champions in Tyne and Wear.

The competition was of a very high standard including our team but a couple of close defeats meant they were unable to qualify from the group stage.

I certainly cannot fault their effort, application or determination, and they certainly gave their best throughout every game they played.

A massive achievement to get as far as County level in any sport.

Well done to all the children involved and once again they have done themselves, school and family very proud!!
