This week we visited Forest School to search for shiny silver stars linked to our learning about day and night. We have read lots of lovely stories such as ‘Whatever Next’ ‘ How to catch a Star’ and ‘Day Monkey Night Monkey’ to help us learn about the differences between day and night. We have been learning the signs for day, night, stars and moon. We used our ‘funky fingers’ to decorate stars by wrapping rainbow wool around, which was fiddly and made us concentrate and our fingers work hard so that they become stronger for holding a pencil, using the scissors and doing up our zips. We warmed up with a lovely hot chocolate.
