Due to earlier qualification from the South Tyneside competition our remaining boccia team competed in the Tyne and Wear County final last Friday.

The team played 3 group games winning all of them and booking a place in the semi finals. After being 2-0 down following 2 rounds they showed fantastic resilience to win the 3rd round 4-0 meaning a 4-2 win altogether and cementing a place in the final 2.

History was to repeat itself in the final, as once again they had to come from 2-0 down to come out winners and lift the trophy!!!!

Well done to the team for all their hard work, skill and resilience to get their hands on the trophy!!

The team also got the honour to meet Stephen Miller. A local very decorated former Great Britain Paralympic athlete.
