Making Tiles to Celebrate Metro Turning 40

Today our Year 5/6 and some of the KS2 Base children were lucky enough to work with professional artist and illustrator Laura Brenchley. They used a range of collage materials to design and produce tiles to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Metro first opening. These will be made into real tiles and displayed permanently at a metro station close by. Ours will hopefully be displayed at Chichester and other work will feature at the Hebburn and Bede stations. It is expected that these will be completed by summer and the children who participated may be invited to a launch event.
