As part of our traditional tales unit, the children have been enjoying the story Jack and the Beanstalk; we have linked this to Maths and measurement. The children have ordered beanstalks from shortest to tallest and have thoroughly enjoyed measuring classroom objects with ‘Giant footprints’. They also measured a variety of beanstalks using ‘magic beans’ and worked super hard to record their results.
