Today was Mental Health Awareness Day. The Three Year Old Nursery children read a story called ‘The Worrysaurus’ and talked about how sometimes our head can feel worried or scared or sad. We learnt that it’s important to keep our heads happy and healthy and to do things to make us feel relaxed and calm. The children then each visited the Spa. We listed to calm music, smelt lovely aromatherapy scents, soaked our feet in warm bubbly water, drank fresh orange juice in posh glasses, held smooth worry stones and had a foot and hand massage. Then we lay down with cool cucumber on our eyes. At the end of the morning we practised some yoga postures and calm breathing under a starry sky. Our heads felt happy and calm and relaxed.
