Today our netball county finalists took part in the Tyne and Wear County finals. This was as a result of coming through a South Tyneside qualifier and then the South Tyneside finals earlier in the year. The team played some absolutely fantastic netball having to play a gruelling group stage of 7 games .At the end of the group stage, they finished with 6 wins and 1 draw. They had booked themselves a thoroughly deserved place in the final by winning the group. Unfortunately this became a step too far and they were narrowly defeated in the final.We are super proud of the team who have had to play approximately 25 games to get down to competing to be the best netball team in South Tyneside for 25/26. 2nd in the whole of Tyne and Wear is a great achievement in itself, and something the children need to be very proud of.
