Year 3 took part in a Nissan Engagement workshop today with a special visitor called Robyn. Robyn came to tell us all about the company Nissan. Nissan provides many different job opportunities to people in the North East and beyond. We discussed car manufacturing, engineering and the trades that people have at the plant. We then became engineers ourselves, designing our own innovative cars. We considered ways to power the vehicle and special design features that would enhance performance and increase sales. Nissan originated in Japan and we found out more about Japanese traditions and culture. It was a great session and made us think about career choices and the importance of STEM subjects in school.
