This week in Nursery we have been learning all about Remembrance Day. We talked about soldiers and how they have an important job to protect our country and keep us safe. We looked at some photographs of soldiers that had been taken a long time ago. They were from the past and were taken during the war. We then talked about how we wear little red poppies to remember all those who went to war so that we could be free. We learned a little poem that said… I wear a little poppy, as red as can be, to remember all the soldiers, who fought for you and me.
We then made our very own poppies to wear using paints and a range of printing materials. Today we took part in a minute silence showing our respect to all those who fought in the war ❤
