After reading ‘Sam plants a Sunflower’ and ‘The Tiny Seed’ in Nursery we decided to plant our own sunflower seeds and watch them grow. We learnt from the story that the little seed needs soil, water and warm from the sun to help it grow and that we need to be ‘patient’ as this takes time. We watched a time lapse video to help us understand how the seed grows a root down first, then a shoot up, then a stem with leaves and finally flower. Inside the flower are new seeds which grow and start the life cycle once again 🌱 ☀ 💦🪴
