Today our Three Year Old Nursery children went on their first adventure to Forest School in 2026!!! It was lovely to take some of our new Nursery friends with us for the first time too.!!We have been busy bird spotting in Nursery as part of the RSPB’s Bird Watch Week so we named and counted lots of different types of birds which we saw including seagulls, pigeons, crows, blackbird, sparrow and even a little robin. We read a story ‘Charlie crow in the snow’ and decided to make bird feeders to hang in Forest School for Charlie and his friends because we know in winter it can be hard for birds to find food. We also made bird feeders to take home and hang in our gardens, using our fine motor skills to carefully thread the Cheerios on the pipe cleaners! Finally we played a matching sorting snap game with different birds looking carefully at the colours of their feathers..We enjoyed a hot chocolate to warm us up before heading back to Nursery🐦🦢🦅
