Also last week we had a cricket team playing in the South Tyneside finals, following on from qualification due to winning their group at a previous tournament.

Once again like has been the case throughout all of the sports competitions this year, all of the children involved played some superb cricket and really showcased their skills learned during the hours of afterschool clubs.

Due to holidays and the netball County finals running at the same time. A lot of the children in this picture were asked to play at the last minute and they all stepped up and gave a fantastic account of themselves. Huge credit goes to those who stepped in at the last minute!!

Ultimately the team finished 4th in the whole of South Tyneside. With two very narrow defeats in the semi finals and then 3/4th placed playoff stopping them finishing higher.

Another brilliant school sporting achievement to report on.
