Our Mental Health Practitioner, Caroline has been back in school today, carrying out a well-being workshop with Year 1. The children talked about a range of emotions, particularly worry. We talked about what this means, how we can recognise worry and what we can do to make us feel less worried. We took part in ‘five-finger breathing’, ‘square breathing’ and ‘hot chocolate breathing’ as well as sharing some ideas to help reduce any worries. The children played an active part in the session, sitting beautifully and answering lots of questions. We finished the session by making a ‘Worry Monster’ which the children will bring home today.
