The children in Nursery have been enjoying the story ‘We’re going on a Bear Hunt ‘ by Michael Rosen. They have loved joining in with the repeating parts of the story. We made a map together to show the journey the family took in the story then took this to Forest school to help us find our way. The children took their shoes and socks off to do a bare foot sensory walk though the long wavy grass, deep cold river, thick oozy mud, a big dark forest, a swirling whirling snow storm and into the narrow gloomy cave where they met one wet nose, two furry ears, two googly eyes …. a BEAR!!!!! needing a friend and a hug !!! We have had so much fun this year in Forest School together playing, exploring, learning and growing in confidence and resilience. Your children are wonderful and their love of the outdoors and curiosity in nature has been very special to see 💚 have a lovely summer everyone Miss Collins  🌳 🍃
