Year One have had a fantastic World Book day! We have focused on The Three Little Pigs and completed lots of fun activities.

The children came to school and were shocked to discover a ‘crime scene’ in our garden! They were fantastic detectives reading riddles and following the clues which led them to find the Big Bad Wolf! Fortunately Mrs Trunchbull was on hand to put him in the chokey!

The second little pig kindly let us use some of his sticks to count in groups of ten – the children are becoming experts at this!

We listened to alternative versions of the story, from the wolf’s perspective and voted for who we believed. The children had a debate and some children even changed their minds following the discussion. We used adjectives to create Wanted posters, and ended the day with a craft activity.
