World Book Day in Year 4 In Year 4 we read the book ‘Tuesday’ by David Wiesner. This is a different kind of book as there are virtually no words in it, so we had to use the illustrations to tell the story. We predicted what might have happened after looking at an image from the end of the story, watched an animation of the story, made paper lilypads, wrote frog verb movement poems and discussed the characters’ thoughts and feelings. We watched the BBC World Book Day live lesson, tried some oral story composition and performing using Pie Corbett’s Talk for Writing and Voice 21 ideas then ended our day listening to our class reading for pleasure story.
