Earlier in the school year, Year 4 all wrote letters to the author of one of their class texts- Philip Ridley, the author of Krindkekrax.
The children had so many questions to ask Mr Ridley about what it is like to be a real author, questions about Krindlekrax and all different aspects of the story.
We have waited quite a while but then today Mrs Simpson received a Special Delivery letter for the class. Philip Ridley had replied to us! He sent a lovely, long letter answering lots of the children’s questions, autographs and a special signed ‘Reading is Magic!’ Poster which Mrs Simpson is going to put into a frame. The children were so excited that their letters had been replied to and even clapped when Mrs Simpson had finished reading their letter to them!
