The children in Year 1 had a wonderful time at Newcastle’s Theatre Royal last week. We were accompanied by some of our KS2 School Councillors who were very helpful. As part of The Children’s Bookshow, we enjoyed listening to a variety of stories by the author Catherine Rayner; read by the author herself! She even demonstrated how she illustrates her stories and gave the children some fantastic tips on how to be a good artist. The children’s behaviour was outstanding and they were a credit to the school.
