Year 4 stepped back in time today to experience what it was like to be a coal miner in the North East in the past. The children visited Woodhorn Museum to begin their studies on coal mining. They handled artefacts and learnt about the conditions in coal mines in the past. They even had a little time in the play park before the journey home.
