This term in DT, Year 5 have been designing and making their own stuffed cushions from felt. They created a design for their cushion which included their initials and any other shapes they wanted. They cut these out of felt and sewed them onto the cushion using running stitch. Once the design was complete, they used a blanket stitch to seal the sides of the cushion, stuffing it before closing it up.
