Year 6 took on the role of evacuees in today’s history lesson and used real-life recount cards to share their experiences with the other children. They then had to rank the different experiences using the spectrum cards, which helped them to understand that for some evacuees it was a positive time in their lives, while for others they could not wait for the war to be over and to go back home and be reunited with their families.
