Yesterday, as part of their work in History and RE, the year 6 pupils had a visit from Sohail from the Islamic Diversity Centre. It was an excellent opportunity to learn more about the Muslim faith, including how it all began and how practising Muslims show their faith today. It was interesting to discover that although there are key differences between Islam and Christianity, there are also lots of similarities in terms of their beliefs. We found our visit from the self-confessed ‘Geordie Muslim’ very enjoyable and loved playing ‘Who Wants to be a Muslim-aire?’ 😀
