Year 6 enjoyed a trip to Beamish today where they took part in an evacuation workshop as part of their work on WWII. They also visited the 1940s farm, the 1950s town and then travelled further back to visit the 1900s pit village…a visit to the school here and a lesson with the teacher made them realise just how lucky they are to have not been a child back in those days!
