Year 5 took part in a service of thanksgiving for the Venerable Bede this afternoon at St Paul’s church. The whole service was led by students from local schools. Seven of our year 5 children retold and acted out the story of the life of Bede. They did very well and should be proud of themselves.

Reverend Andrew, who organised the service and worked with the Year 5 children on the re-enactment sent us this email after the service:
Dear Mrs Atherton and Year 5,
Thank you so much for being part of our Bedetide service this afternoon.
Thank you to the wonderful students who acted out the story of the Veneable Bede- you spoke confidently and clearly and brought the story to life for all who came to our service.
Thank you all for your attention, contribution and excellent behaviour during our service. I hope you enjoyed the afternoon, learnt something new about the Venerable Bede and felt God’s presence in our wonderful church of St Paul’s, a place of prayer, learning and encounter for over 1300 years!
With every blessing,
Revd Andrew
