Autumn and Harvest at Forest School

Last week in our adventure to Forest School we continued to learn about Autumn and Harvest. We read a story about a scarecrow who couldn’t scare anyone!! We found a lonely scarecrow in Forest School with a letter asking us to make some scarecrow soup to keep him warm now the weather is getting colder. We read the recipe and went off to explore and find conkers, pine cones and autumn leaves. We used sticks to stir the soup then put it into bowls for the scarecrow to enjoy. We all tried warm vegetable soup which got the thumbs up from a few children and the thumbs down from lots!!! Being in Nursery is often about trying new experiences and challenges and Miss Collins was really proud of us all and especially our good listening in Forest School last week.
