Busy Start to the New Year for Sycamore Class

Its been a busy start to the new year for Sycamore Class.  The children have enjoyed a panathlon competition at temple park, taking part in sporting activities alongside other schools.

Our History topic is Ancient Egyptians and in Art the children have created a picture of the pyramids.

We were lucky to have Milo from the Durham County Cricket Club to deliver table cricket sessions.  The children enjoyed learning new skills and worked well as a team.

We have introduced a sensory movement session at the start of our afternoon lessons.  The children have completed a variety of activities to get their bodies moving in readiness for the afternoon lessons.

In Science, the children have explored magnets and their properties and enjoyed playing with bop it to get to grips with the forces: push, pull and twist.

In cookery, the children have made cupcakes and ham and cheese toasties.
