The 2022/23 Lord Blyton lasses played their first games of the season today at Whitburn Comp, playing in the South Tyneside Primary Girls football Cup. The girls played in a league phase finishing with a record of two wins, two draws and one defeat. This resulted in them placing 2nd in the group qualifying for the semi finals. They lost the semi final despite a battling display. Next up was a 3rd/4th place game which they won after a dramatic penalty shootout victory!! As a result of finishing 3rd they will now represent South Tyneside in the County finals. The girls have done themselves so proud, as for a few it’s the first time they have played football competitively. Every one of the girls tried their best throughout the afternoon and played with smiles on their faces !!! Well done girls !!!
