Our Three Year Old Nursery children went on their first expedition to Forest School this week. As part of our learning about Autumn we read the story ‘Leaf Man’ by Lois Elhert and noticed red, yellow, green, brown, and orange leaves in the story. We then explored in Forest School to find autumn coloured leaves and sorted them into different colours. We talked about how the leaves grew on the trees but because it’s autumn the wind has blown the leaves off the trees. We used the sticks and leaves we had collected to make our own autumn trees before enjoying hot chocolate and a biscuit We can’t wait to go on another adventure next week
