Monday was a busy day for our girls football team. They started off by completing their league fixtures in the afternoon. Rounding off their league season with two victories and a 3rd place finish in the league. 3rd place means they now qualify for the Champions league event later in the year when they will compete against the other 5 top teams in South Tyneside. At this event they will also be defending the trophy that last years team won!! Following the league games they had to hot foot it to Washington where they were in County cup semi final action. After 1 win out of 3 unfortunately they didnt progress to the final, but the girls certainly gave their all across of the 5 matches they played. Not to mention they only had the bare 7 players, so there was no rest time for them either.Well done girls!
