We would like to introduce you to our new School Councillors for this academic year. Each class held a discussion around the role of the school council and with help from last year’s councillors sharing their importance of their roles and responsibilities along with all of their achievements and success.Β All pupils were then able to nominate themselves to represent their class as part of the School Council. Pupils then held campaigns and shared with their class why they should be chosen for the School Council. We held a democratic vote using ballot papers ensuring everyone had their say in who they wanted to be chosen as school councillors. The votes were then counted and the new School Councillors were revealed in the achievementΒ assemblyΒ where they received their badges and special books. We have already held our first officialΒ meeting and have some great ideas for the year ahead. We can’tΒ wait to see what changes this year’s School Council will bring ensuring that they make Lord Blyton PrimaryΒ School a better place for everyone!Β
