Yesterday the children in nursery received a letter from Paddington Bear. He told us all about how the school will be closed on Monday as we have a very special day to remember the Queen and all of the  wonderful things she has done for our country. We made crowns, used the blocks to build Buckingham Palace, explored making tea in the water tray, counted and made patterns with the jewels on the crowns and had a special tea party to celebrate her wonderful life. Paddington Bear joined us at the tea party and we all had a lovely time with a cup of tea and a slice of cake.
