Nursery Visit Forest School to Look for Diva Lights

As part of our learning about Diwali, the Hindu festival of light , the children in Nursery looked at photos of beautiful rangoli patterns which are used to decorate peoples homes during the celebration. These patterns are often a circle shape and made from brightly coloured rice, chalk, paint or flower petals and are lit with small candles called divas. We visited Forest school to look for little diva lights shining in the trees then used lots of natural resources to create our own beautiful rangoli patterns.
