Science in Year 3- Are all rocks porous?

Today in year 3, we carried out an investigation to see if all rocks are porous. We took rock samples and immersed them in water. We then weighed the rocks at regular time intervals. We predicted that the porous rocks would get heavier as the water was absorbed. We kept the amount of water and time intervals the same to make it a fair test. We recorded our results and made conclusions. We used some very scientific words (permeable and impermeable) when recording our findings. We worked really hard as you can see!
