The Very Busy Spider

We continued to think about the teeny tiny creatures we call minibeasts and read the story ‘The Very Busy Spider’ by Eric Carle.   We learned that a spider builds a web using a silky sticky thread it makes to catch other minibeasts to eat. When we arrived at Forest School we found a huge spiders web in the trees and bushes.  We pretended to be very busy spiders crawling into the web climbing over under and through until we reached the minibeasts trapped in the middle. We collected the minibeasts  and tried to identify them,  then counted to see how many we had each found. Then we made our own very busy spiders using pebbles and sticks remembering they have  8 legs🕷️🕸️
