World Book Day

On Thursday Lord Blyton celebrated World Book Day. Children and staff came dressed as either their favourite book character or in their pyjamas and took part in a day of book themed activities. Every child also received a £1 Book Token

2 Year Old’s Nursery

3 Year Old’s Nursery

Our Three Year Old Nursery children had lots of fun today dressing up as our favourite characters or in pyjamas for World Book Day. We read the story ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’ by Judith Kerr and made a shopping list together of all the things we might buy if a tiger came to tea. We decided to have a tea party with our friends and wrote invitations to the people we would like to invite. Then we set to work making our own sandwiches by carefully using the knife to spread the butter then the filling and to cut the sandwich in half. We had a great time at our tea party and luckily no tigers knocked on the door!!! We enjoyed exploring tigers habitats in the soil and lentils, painting tiger stripes, making different sized tiger footprints in the playdough, feeding two hungry tigers Pom

Poms with the tweezers, matching tiger coloured objects to numerals, pouring cups of herbal tea in the water tray, retelling the story with puppets and visiting a cafe in the home corner 🐯 ☕️
