Reception had lots of fun dressing up as characters from stories and films for World Book Day. We brought in our favourite stories from home to share with our friends and listened to the authors David McKee reading ‘Elmer’. We worked with a partner to complete a book Scavenger Hunt by searching in different stories for all the pictures on our list.

World book day – year 2. A very creative day was had doing writing, maths, dt and art.

KS1 Base

The children in the Key Stage 1 Base loved to dress up as their favourite character from a book. To celebrate world book day we listened to David Walliams reading his favourite part of his story from his new book Astro Chimp. The children thought of questions to they would like to ask. The children described a character from their favourite book and created a new front cover.
