Year 1 have enjoyed their Science topic of Materials this half term and have had a very busy day testing materials. The children worked hard in groups, testing whether a material was waterproof or absorbent; they then put this knowledge to the test in a challenge where they had to make a waterproof underwater den. The children showed fantastic teamwork and selected materials which they knew were waterproof to help keep their plastic animal dry. After a few attempts we had success!!! Well done everyone! You all impressed me with your perseverance and enthusiasm!
