Year 3 Local Author Visit. Year 3 had a visit from Yvonne Carlin-Page today to talk about her book ‘Lily, Windy and the Witch.’ We have been reading her book in class this term. She talked about the process of becoming an author, what inspired her to write and shared some of her new work with us. Both Yvonne and Peter were very enthusiastic in discussing the characters and the setting of the books and we had lots of fun listening to Yvonne read. We also completed some of the fantastic resources which can be found on her website lilywindyandthewitch.co.uk. It was a great morning and we are now all inspired to become authors and illustrators. Many children also purchased signed copies of the book…..and can’t wait to read them!
