Today year 3 became geologists! We talked about the three main different types of rock and how they are formed. We used magnifying glasses to examine samples of metamorphic, igneous and sedimentary rocks and we classified the rocks in different ways. We discussed how rocks are used and how some are ‘permeable’ and ‘impermeable.’ At the end of the lesson…..we decided that science really does ‘rock’ in our class!!
