Year 5 have been investigating friction this week in their science lesson. They conducted an experiment to find out which surfaces have the most and least friction. They added marbles one at a time to a container attached to a block of wood, until the block moved across the surface. They conducted the experiment on the table top (laminate), on tin foil, on foam and hairfelt and found that the surfaces with most friction was the hairfelt and foam.
