As part of Halloween week our Three Year Old Nursery children have been learning about spiders. We read the story ‘The Very Busy Spider’ by Eric Carle and talked about how spiders spin a web to catch insects to eat. When we got to Forest School we found an enormous spiders web in amongst the trees!!! We had to crawl over and under to reach the middle where we found lots of little spiders. We counted how many spiders we had collected by touch counting before creating our own very own spiders using conkers pine cones and sticks. It was hard work being a busy little spider so when we got back to Nursery, Miss Collins had a special treat for us and we made spider biscuits
